We are excited to invite you to the EU Open Doors Day on Saturday, 10 May 2025, from 10:00 to 18:00 at the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) headquarters, Rue Belliard 99/101, Brussels. This annual event is a unique chance to delve into how the EU Institutions function, learn about the vital role of cities and regions in EU policy-making, and get to know our political group’s vision for a liberal and democrat Europe.
Visitors will have the opportunity to engage with several interactive stands and learn about the CoR’s role in shaping EU legislation. The event will also feature a “Festival of regions and cities,” highlighting the diverse cultures and gastronomy of regions across Europe. Participating regions this year include those from Sweden (celebrating the 30th anniversary of its accession to the EU), Spain, the Italian city of Vasto and Valle d’Aosta, the South Moravian Region and Olomouc Region in the Czech Republic, and the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace in Greece. The event will also offer information on career and traineeship opportunities at the CoR, along with games for children and entertainment for all ages.
The Renew Europe Group will host its own stand where you can learn about our group’s political priorities for the European Union and the pivotal role of liberal and democrat leaders in drafting effective EU policies. Stop by to show off your EU pride and have your picture taken, test your knowledge of the EU with an interactive quiz and try your luck at winning some prizes.
